I pretty much went to Ireland because I heard there was awesome castles and the best pint of Guinness. I can confirm, the Guinness there was the smoothest and tastiest in the world.
Oktoberfest in Japan is drastically different from Germany, but in a good way.
This is going to sound unbelievable, but it’s true! If you go on the Kirin Beer Factory Tour they give you free beer and snacks at the tour.
While in Osaka, I got “hooked” on conveyor belt sushi. Get it? Hooked? Sushi? Hooking a fish? Thank you for continuing to read this post. I’ll stop being punny.
When in Okinawa, you’ll notice that most places that serve beer, is going to serve Orion beer. Draft choices are limited to that. It was rare to see Kirin or Sapporo. As a beer connoisseur (very polite version of saying alcoholic), I thought I’d take this opportunity to visit the Orion brewery (Orion Happy Park).
When you’re in the middle of Tokyo nightlife with friends and it’s a drinking night, seeing “All You Can Drink” is going to get your attention. Seeing “All You Can Drink” at a maid bar will definitely get you to consider the location.
The only place that serves green tea beer is at 1899 Ochanomizu in Tokyo. It tastes very bitter along the lines of a concentrated green tea and an IPA. Served as a half pint, I struggled to finish this due to the bitterness.
