While in Sydney, I had to meet a koala and a kangaroo. I haven’t interacted with many live animals before, but I had to do this since they’re not as easily accessible in my part of the world. Featherdale Wildlife Park lets you get close enough to interact with the animals!
To get there from Sydney, I used Google Maps. It’s not too difficult, I had to get to Central Station in Sydney and then take the train an hour west to Blacktown. From there it was a 30 minute walk to the park from the station. The buses weren’t as frequent so we decided to walk. There were a lot of people at the park and we didn’t see anyone else walk there so there’s probably a better way.
Once you get in to the park, you’re free to wander around and feed the animals. Anything you’re not supposed to touch is in a cage or distanced from the park visitors. Definitely worth the journey.
