The Master Spicy Noodle does a very modern version of the best beef noodle soup in Taipei. For me, these were not just the best noodles in Taipei, they were the best I’ve ever had (I’m talking about JUST the noodles). The Best Noodles In Taipei?
That is a bold statement. Many restaurants serve rice and/or noodles in Taiwan, so saying a place has the best noodles in Taipei is very serious.
The Master Spicy Noodle has the best noodles in Taipei.
I’m just talking about the noodles. The noodles are served at room temperature without any broth. They are coated in a very light seasoning sauce giving them flavor to complement the very balanced noodle texture.
The Master Spicy Noodle Menu
The Master Spicy Noodle menu is limited to only 4 items. The only differences between the items are the spicy broth or the meat. As you can see in the images, the Master Spicy Noodle menu is available in Chinese, English and Japanese.
It’s called “Spicy Beef Soup + Master Noodle”. I think they don’t want to call it the best beef noodle soup in Taipei, since this is a non-traditional take on the meal. The noodles and soup are separated. But since these are the highest quality noodles, you don’t want the noodles to get soggy and lose their firmness.
On the 2nd page of the menu is the side dishes. The Master Spicy Noodle prices are very affordable for one of the best restaurants in Taipei!
The Master Spicy Noodle Locations and Hours:
There are three Spicy Noodle Master locations in Taipei. Each location is strategically placed between two MRT stations. All locations are open all day during the weekend, but 2 of the locations take a siesta during weekdays.
- Location 1: RED LINE Between Shuanlian and Zhongshan MRT Stations.
- Master Spicy Noodles Hours 11:00 – 14:30 and then again from 17:30 -21:30 on weekdays. Weekends it’s open all day.
- Location 2: BLUE LINE Between Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall and Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT Stations.
- Master Spicy Noodles Hours 11:00 – 14:30 and then again from 17:30 -21:30 on weekdays. Weekends it’s open all day.
- Location 3: RED and BLUE LINE Between Taipei City Hall and Taipei 101 MRT Station.
- Master Spicy Noodles Hours 11:00 – 21:00 every day of the week.
To get the best beef noodle in Taipei without waiting, show up at the very beginning or end of the day! Otherwise expect at least an hour wait! The Master Spicy Noodle Menu and Prices are the same between each branch. They do the same thing and they do it perfectly!
The Best Beef Noodle in Taipei
This is a deconstructed version of the best beef noodle in Taipei. They keep the noodles separated from the broth to retain the noodles texture. Smart move!
I was shocked at how good just the noodles were. They were coated in a lightly spiced seasoning sauce. The most spicy part of the meal was because of the broth.
For me, this was the best beef noodle in Taipei just because of the noodles. I really enjoyed their thin cuts of beef. That made it easy to soak in the broth and to eat smaller pieces of meat.
When your dealing with traditional beef noodle soup, you’ll be dealing with cubes of beef that can take awhile to chew. FOODIE TIP: If it’s hard to chew, it’s overcooked.
The broth was super spicy! They don’t ask you for your preferred level of spicy…they just make is super spicy! I couldn’t finish the broth and my nose was running throughout the meal. But I kept going back for more because this was the best beef noodle in Taipei!
The dish also came with a dipping sauce. You’d take out the beef or noodles and dip it the provided sauce. This intensified all the delicious flavors in the best beef noodle soup in Taipei.
Lastly, each meal comes with duck blood. It wasn’t by request, so you’re going to have some duck blood. Personally, I don’t like foods like this that have a soft pudding-like texture.
Even though the portion was very large, I am going to eat every last bite of the best noodles in Taipei. The broth was too spicy for me to finish so there is a little leftover.
