hgah hgah hgah I’m from Los Angeles and found Melbourne to be too much like home so I found it boring.
I’m a big fan of the korean BBQ restaurant in Los Angeles’ K-Town “Kang Hodong Baekjeong.” Within the LA restaurant, they have posters of the other cities they have restaurants in, which happened to be the city I was currently if for the New Year’s break, Sydney.

While in Sydney, I had to meet a koala and a kangaroo. I haven’t interacted with many live animals before, but I had to do this since they’re not as easily accessible in my part of the world. Featherdale Wildlife Park lets you get close enough to interact with the animals!

It’s New Year’s Eve and there are MANY people already taking claim over viewing spots at 9:30am. I stayed at the Pier One Hotel and the only way to get there is to take the train to Circular Quay station and then walk for 10-15 minutes.

From Katoomba Station it is roughly a 30-minute walk to the Blue Mountains. Once you get there, it’s all mountains, hiking trails and tourists. There’s several buses and tour buses that will get you there but we opted for the walk.

To get to Katoomba from Sydney, you’ll need to start your journey at Central Station. There, you’ll find the Katoomba line that will get you there in about two hours for $5.60 AUD. Sydney – 12/27/16 Circus 1903 Performance at the Opera House While staying in Sydney, we had to catch a show at the famous opera house. There were two options while we were there; a Beatles cover band or a circus. We went with the circus option since that would be more entertaining.
