I didn’t set off in an adventure to find the scariest arcade in Japan, but that’s how things ended up. It was one of the coolest destinations I found on Atlas Obscura and I just happen to like arcades. I also like not being murdered.
The title says it all. Cremia is a special type of ice cream that I have only seen in Japan. It’s not available everywhere and it costs much more than regular ice cream, but is absolutely worth it.

At an izakaya called 炉端亜紗 喜三郎 (Kozaburo Kirisaki) in Nagasaki, I noticed two unusual menu options: whale and horse. I haven’t really thought about eating those two creatures before, but since I had the opportunity I went for it.
